Ingredients list for Keema Roll

  • 250 grams Mutton mince (keema)
  • 8 Refined flour (maida) rotis , small
  • 1 tablespoon + for deep frying Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic , chopped
  • 1 medium Onion , finely chopped
  • 1-2 Green chillies , chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1/4 cup Green peas
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Fresh mint leaves ,chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves ,chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1/4 cup Refined flour slurry
  • to serve Tomato ketchup

Method

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and when their colour changes, add garlic, mix and sauté till garlic turns golden.
  2. Add onion, mix and sauté till golden brown. Add mutton mince, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add green chillies, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and cumin powder, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add green peas, mix and cook for 1 minute. Add mint leaves, ½ tablespoon coriander leaves and salt and mix well.
  5. Add garam masala powder, mix and cook till the mutton mince is fully done. Add remaining coriander leaves and mix well.
  6. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  7. Keep some mutton mixture in the center of each roti, apply some slurry on the edges and roll.
  8. Put the mutton rolls in hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  9. Arrange the rolls on a serving platter and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
