You can’t eat breakfast at night or dinner in the afternoon – but snacks? that you can eat anytime of the day! Along with tea, after school or at a birthday party – snacks are every foodie’s ultimate favourite. Healthy snacking is the best way to satisfy your munchies without the worry of to many added calories.

Ingredients for Tomato Omelette Sandwich - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Gram flour (besan) 2 cups

  • Tomatoes finely chopped 2 medium

  • White bread slices 8

  • Green chillies finely chopped 1-2

  • Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil for greasing and drizzling

  • Butter as required

  • Green chutney as required

  • Tomato few roundles

  • Chaat masala For sprinkling

  • Cherry tomatoes for garnish

Method

Step 1

Take Tata Sampann Fine Besan in a large bowl, add tomatoes, green chillies, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and sufficient water and mix well.

Step 2

Add salt and , mix well to form a batter of semi-thick consistency.

Step 3

Heat a non-stick tawa, brush a little oil pour small portions of the batter on it to form small discs. Drizzle some oil and cook on low heat, turning sides, till evenly cooked on both sides.

Step 4

Cut out rounds of bread slices with a large round cookie cutter. Apply butter and green chutney on each roundel.

Step 5

Place 1 omelette on each of 4 roundels, place a few tomato slices on them. Sprinkle chaat masala on top. Cover with the remaining slices chutney side downwards.

Step 6

Secure each sandwich with a cherry tomato skewered on toothpick and arrange them on a serving plate and serve.
