Ingredients
- 1/2 cup soya nuggets, soaked in hot water
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 inch ginger, chopped
- 2 large tomatoes, chopped
- 2 teaspoons coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 medium carrot ,cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 1/2 cup yogurt, whisked
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
Method
- Heat a pressure cooker. Add oil and cumin seeds, onion and ginger. Sauté on medium heat for 8-10 minutes. Add tomatoes, sauté till soft.
- Add coriander powder and cumin powder. Sauté for 1 minute. Add turmeric powder and red chilli powder and mix.
- Add carrot, potatoes, soya nuggets, green peas and mix. Add yogurt and mix well. Add 1 cup water.
- Add garam masala powder and fresh coriander leaves and mix. Add salt and mix again.
- Put the cooker lid and place whistle in place. Allow to cook till 2-3 whistles are released.
- Lower heat and cook for 10 minutes. Take cooker off the heat.
- Let the cooker cool and pressure released. Open lid and serve hot.
