Ingredients list for Soya Aloo Tahiri Pulao
- 2 cup Soya chunks , soaked and boiled
- 1 large Potato (aloo) , peeled
- 1 1/2 cups Rice , soaked for 30 minutes and drained
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 10-12 Black peppercorns
- 1 Bay leaf
- 2 medium Tomatoes
- to garnish Fresh coriander sprig
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add peppercorns and bay leaf and sauté till fragrant.
- Cut potatoes into cubes, add and sauté till they turn brown.
- Roughly chop tomatoes.
- Add rice to the pan, mix and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add soya chunks and 3 cups water and stir.
- Add tomatoes and mix. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or till the rice is fully done, stirring occasionally.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
