By Sanjeev Kapoor 03 Jul 2018 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Boneless mutton, Gram flour Cuisine Indian Course Dals and Kadhis Prep Time 41-50 minutes Cook time 41-50 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Mutton Kadhi - SK Khazana 500 grams Boneless mutton cut into 1 inch pieces 1 cup Gram flour 1 cup Yogurt 1 tablespoon Garlic-green chilli paste to taste Salt 1 teaspoon Ginger-green chilli paste 2 tablespoons Oil 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns 6-8 Cloves 1 teaspoon Ginger finely chopped 1-2 Green chillies finely chopped 2 Medium onions sliced 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida 1 Medium tomato finely chopped 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder a pinch Green cardamom powder 1 teaspoon Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped 1 Fresh coriander sprig Method Put mutton pieces in a bowl. Add garlic-green chilli paste and salt, mix well and set aside to marinate for 20-25 minutes. Take gram flour, yogurt, ginger-green chilli paste and salt in a bowl, add sufficient water and mix to a thin mixture. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add peppercorns, cloves, ginger, green chillies and onions and mix well. Add salt and asafoetida, mix well and sauté till onions turn golden brown. Add tomato, mix and cook till it turns soft and pulpy. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder, mix well and cook for a minute. Add marinated mutton pieces and mix. Add sufficient water and salt, mix well, cover and cook till mutton is tender. Add gram flour-yogurt mixture and stir to mix. Add cardamom powder and coriander leaves, mix well and bring to a boil.
