Ingredients list for Chicken Bharta - SK Khazana
- 250 grams Chicken mince
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 4 Black cardamoms
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
- 1 teaspoon Ginger chopped
- 1 teaspoon Garlic chopped
- 1 Large onion finely chopped
- 1-2 Green chillies finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Large tomato finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1/2 tablespoon Lemon juice
- to taste Salt q
- 1 tablespo for garnish Fresh coriander leaves chopped
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cardamoms, bay leaf, peppercorns and cumin seeds and sauté for a minute.
- Add asafoetida, ginger and garlic, mix and sauté till fragrant. Add onion, mix and sauté till lightly browned.
- Add green chillies and tomato, mix and cook till tomatoes turn soft and pulpy.
- Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder, mix and cook till the oil separates.
- Add lemon juice and mix well. Add chicken mince, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add salt and coriander leaves, mix well, cover and cook till fully done.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
