Ingredients list for Keema Pattice
- 500 grams Mutton Mince
- 4 tablespoons Potatoes
- Oil 1 tablespoon + for greasing and deep-frying
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic-green chilli paste
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg powder
- to taste Salt
- 3-4 tablespoons Green peas boiled
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 3 medium Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
- 2 White bread slices
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons Cornflour
Method
- Heat one tablespoon oil in a pressure cooker, add ginger-garlic-green chilli paste and sauté till fragrant.
- Add onion and sauté till it turns translucent. Add mutton mince, mix and sauté on high heat.
- Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder and nutmeg powder. Mix and cook on high heat for three to four minutes.
- Add salt and mix well. Add one-fourth cup of water, mix, put the lid on and cook under pressure till two whistles. Reduce heat and cook further for fifteen minutes.
- Remove lid, place the cooker on heat and add peas, coriander leaves and lemon juice and mix well. Cook on high heat till the moisture evaporates. Remove from heat and cool down to room temperature.
- Mix potatoes, two tablespoons refined flour and salt in a bowl. Soak bread slices in water, squeeze and add. Mix well.
- Break egg into another bowl, add salt and beat well.
- Spread breadcrumbs on a plate. Mix remaining refined flour and cornflour and spread on another plate.
