Ingredients
- 5-6 leftover rotis
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 4-5 curry leaves
- 2 green chillies, slit
- ¼ teaspoon asafoetida (hing)
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- ¼ cup sour curd
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Chopped fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- Yogurt to serve
Method
- Tear the rotis into 4-5 pieces in a bowl.
- Heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, curry leaves and green chillies. Sauté for a minute on medium heat.
- Add asafoetida and sauté for few seconds. Add the roti pieces and mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes on medium heat till rotis becomes hard.
- Add garlic, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and sour curd in the pan.
- Add 2 cups water and mix well. Add sugar and lemon juice. Mix well.
- Serve hot with yogurt, garnished with chopped coriander.
