Pressure Cooker Aloo Sabzi When you are in a hurry make this sabzi and you will never regret it for it is so delicious. Simple and quick recipe of potatoes cooked with chopped tomatoes and mild spices. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 01 Sep 2016 in Recipes Veg New Update Main Ingredients Potatoes, Mustard seeds Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 6 medium potatoes, peeled cut into medium cubes ½ teaspoon mustard seeds 2 tablespoons oil ½ teaspoon cumin seeds A pinch of asafoetida 7-8 curry leaves 2 large tomatoes, finely chopped ½ teaspoon turmeric powder Salt to taste 1 teaspoon red chilli powder ½ teaspoon coriander powder ½ teaspoon cumin powder 2 teaspoons chopped fresh coriander leaves ½ teaspoon garam masala powder Method Heat oil in a pressure cooker; add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add cumin seeds and saute till they begin to change colour. Add asafoetida, curry leaves, tomatoes, turmeric powder and salt. Mix well and sauté till tomatoes are soft. Add chilli powder and coriander powder and cumin powder. Mix well and sauté for a minute. Add potatoes and ¾ cup water. Mix well and bring to a boil. Cover the cooker with the lid and cook under pressure till pressure is released 3 times. Open the lid of the cooker after the pressure reduces completely, sprinkle coriander leaves and garam masala powder.
