Ingredients list for Mutton do Pyaaza - SK Khazana
- 450 grams Boneless mutton cut into 1 inch pieces and boiled
- 1/2 cup Onion paste
- 1 Large onion cut into cubes and layers separated
- 2 tablespoons Ghee
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 2 Green chillies slit
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 1/4 cup Tomato puree
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 1/3 tablespoon Red chilli paste
- 1 cup Chicken stock
- 2 tablespoons Yogurt
- to taste Salt
- 1 Large green capsicum cut into squares
- 1 teaspoon Dried pomegranate seed powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
- to garnish Onion rings
- to garnish Fresh coriander sprigs
- to garnish Lemon wedges
Method
- Heat ghee in a steel handi. Add cumin seeds and once they begin to change colour, add green chillies and onion paste, mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté for 1 minute. Add tomato puree, mix well and cook for 1 minute.
- Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli paste and 2-3 tablespoons chicken stock, mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add yogurt, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add mutton pieces, salt and remaining chicken stock, mix well and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add onion, capsicum and pomegranate seed powder, mix, cover and cook for 5-6 minutes.
- Add garam masala powder and lemon juice and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with onion rings, coriander sprig and lemon wedge and serve hot.
