Masala Bajra Roti

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups pearl millet (bajra) flour
  • ¾ cup Pro V Fusion Omega Boost Trail Mix
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons grated carrot
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ¾ teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 2-3 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoons ghee + for cooking + drizzling
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • Chopped jaggery as required

Method

  1. Put Pro V Fusion Omega Boost Trail Mix in a string chopper and crush coarsely.
  2. Take pearl millet flour in a parat, add crushed mixture, onion, carrot, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, green chillies, coriander leaves, salt and 2 teaspoons ghee and mix well.
  3. Add ¾ cup water and knead to a soft dough. Add oil and knead well.
  4. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll into balls. Roll each ball into semi thick rotis.
  5. Heat a non-stick tawa, place the rotis, one at a time, and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for 2-3 minutes on other side as well. Drizzle ghee, flip and drizzle some more ghee and cook for 1 minute more.
  6. Place the rotis on a serving plate, top up each roti with jaggery and drizzle some ghee serve hot.
