Ingredients
- 2 cups pearl millet flour (bajre ka atta)
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped green garlic bulbs
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped green garlic stalks + for garnish
- 1 teaspoon ginger-green chilli paste
- ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- A pinch of baking soda
- 2 cups buttermilk
- Ghee for brushing + for drizzling
- White sesame seeds for sprinkling
- Sweetened yogurt to serve
Method
- Take pearl millet flour in a large bowl, add green garlic bulbs, green garlic stalks, ginger-green chilli paste, cumin seeds, salt, baking soda and buttermilk and mix till a smooth batter is formed.
- Heat a non-stick tawa. Brush some ghee on it, pour small portions of the batter on the hot tawa and spread into small discs. Sprinkle some white sesame seeds on each disc. Drizzle some ghee on top and sides of the discs. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
- Flip each disc and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes as well.
- Arrange the discs on a serving platter, garnish with green garlic stalks and serve hot with sweetened yogurt.
