Ingredients list for Tawa Pulao-SK Khazana
- 3 cups Rice cooked
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon Green chillies finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Ginger finely chopped
- 1 Medium onion finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Red chilli paste
- 4 tablespoons Tomato puree
- 2 Medium tomatoes finely chopped
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon Pav bhaji masala
- 2 tablespoons Green peas boiled and crushed
- 1 tablespoon Green capsicum finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
Method
- Heat oil on a non-stick tawa. Add cumin seeds and sauté till the seeds change colour.
- Add green chillies, garlic, ginger and onions, mix and sauté well pressing lightly with a masher. Add red chilli paste and mix well with the masher.
- Add tomato puree and tomatoes and mix with the masher. Add salt, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add chilli powder and pav bhaji masala, mix and cook for a minute. Add green peas and capsicum, mash and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add rice and mix well. Add butter, mix and let it melt. Add lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix well.
- Serve hot.
