Ingredients list for Spiced Chicken
- 750 grams Chicken on the bone cut into pieces
- 1 teaspoon Coriander seeds
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 5-6 Cloves
- 6-8 Green cardamoms
- 6-8 Black peppercorns
- 1 inch Cinnamon
- 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
- 1-2 Green chillies
- 1 tablespo for garnishing Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1 medium Onion sliced
Method
- Dry-roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, cloves, cardamoms, peppercorns and cinnamon in a non-stick pan till fragrant.
- Grind together roasted spices, ginger, garlic and broken green chillies with some water and coriander leaves to a smooth paste.
- Take chicken in a bowl. Add ground paste and mix. Add salt and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté till golden. Add marinated chicken and mix. Add some water, mix, cover and cook till the chicken is done.
- Serve hot garnished with a coriander sprig.
