This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 01 Dec 2014 in Recipes Veg New Update Main Ingredients Moong sprouts , Gram flour (besan) Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Grilled Protein Patodi 1 cup Moong sprouts 2 cups Gram flour (besan) 1 teaspoon Coriander powder 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida a pinch Turmeric powder a pinch Soda bicarbonate 1/2 cup Yogurt to taste Salt 2 tablespoons Oil 2 teaspoons Mustard seeds 4 Green chillies cut lengthwise 12-14 Curry leaves 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped to sprinkle Chaat masala to sprinkle Red chilli powder Method Heat water in a steamer.In a bowl, mix together besan, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, a pinch of asafoetida, soda bi carbonate, yogurt, sprouted moong, salt and sufficient water to make a thick batter. Grease a plate with oil. Spread the moong mixture over it. Place the plate in the steamer and steam for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the steamer and cut into pieces. Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add the remaining asafoetida, mustard seeds and green chillies. When the seeds splutter, add curry leave and immediately add the patodi. Add coriander leaves. Sprinkle some chaat masala and red chilli powder and mix well. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve.
