Cauliflower Keema

Ingredients 

  • 1 medium cauliflower, grated
  • 1 1/2 inch ginger piece, chopped
  • 15-20 garlic cloves 
  • 3 green chillies
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt
  • 8-10 cashewnuts, roasted and crushed

Method

  1. Chop ginger, garlic and green chillies in a chopper. Heat oil in a non stick pan.
  2. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida and sauté till golden. Add ginger-garlic-green chillies and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add cauliflower and mix well. Add salt, mix and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add coriander powder and red chilli powder and mix. Cover and cook on medium heat for 1 minute.
  5. Add yogurt and mix. Cover and cook on medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Garnish with cashewnuts and serve.
