By Sanjeev Kapoor 17 Nov 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Potato, Tomato Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Jhat Pat Tomato Alu 2 medium Potato boiled and mashed 2 medium Tomato chopped 2 tablespoons Oil 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 8 Curry leaves 5 cloves Garlic chopped 1 inch piece Ginger chopped 1 medium Onion chopped 1/4 cup Spring onion chopped 1 teaspoon Cumin powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala to taste Salt 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped Method Heat oil in a non stick pan, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves and crushed garlic, Saute till light brown. Add green peas and tomatoes and sauté well. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, sambar powder and salt. Mix well and add little water. Heat oil in a non stick pan, add cumin seeds and curry leaves. Saute till seeds splutter. Add garlic, ginger, onion and spring onions. Saute till light brown. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala and tomatoes. Saute for two minutes. Add mashed potatoes, salt and one cup water. Mix well. Allow the mixture to boil.
