Ingredients for Jeera Broccoli Recipe

  • Broccoli separated into small florets and blanched 300 grams

  • Cumin Seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Onions finely chopped 2 medium

  • Green chilli chopped 1

  • Ginger cut into thin strips 1 inch

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Dried mango powder (amchur) 1/2 teaspoon

  • Tomatoes finely chopped 2 medium

  • Salt to taste

  • Yogurt 6 teaspoons

  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add the cumin seeds. Once they change colour, add onions and sauté till golden. Add the green chilli, ginger and sauté for half a minute.

Step 2

Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, dried mango powder and mix well. Add the tomatoes, salt, mix well and sauté till tomatoes are pulpy.

Step 3

Add the broccoli and toss well. Add the yogurt and mix well. Cook for four to five minutes. Transfer into a serving bowl and sprinkle garam masala powder on top.

Step 4

Serve hot.
