Ingredients
- ½ cup gram flour (besan)
- ½ cup rice flour
- ½ cup finger millet (ragi) flour
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin powder
- ¾ teaspoon red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- Oil for cooking
- Green chutney as required
- 250 grams cottage cheese (paneer)
- Mixed nuts to sprinkle
- Mixed lettuce leaves as required
Method
- Take gram flour in a bowl, add rice flour, finger millet flour, turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste and 1¼ cups water and mix well to make a smooth batter.
- Heat a non-stick tawa and spread some oil on it. Spread a ladleful of batter and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook again for 2 minutes.
- Flip and spread some green chutney. Grate some cottage cheese, sprinkle salt and mixed nuts on top.
- Place a few lettuce leaves and fold. Make more cheelas with the remaining batter.
- Transfer each cheela on separate plates and serve hot.
