Ragi Ambil

Ingredients

Method

  1. Take finger millet flour in a pan, add 2 cups water and mix well.
  2. Cook the mixture on low heat for 4-5 minutes or till the mixture is thick. Transfer the cooked mixture onto a plate, spread it and allow to cool.
  3. Pour 3 cups water in an earthen pot.
  4. Dip your fingers in a bowl of water and divide the ragi mixture into equal portions. Roll into balls and add to the earthen pot. Cover and set aside to ferment overnight or for 8-10 hours.
  5. Discard the scum from the fermented mixture and churn it thoroughly.
  6. Add yogurt, salt, green chillies, ginger, onion and coriander leaves and mix well.
  7. Pour into individual serving glasses and serve.
