Ingredients
- ½ cup finger millet (ragi) flour
- ¼ cup yogurt
- Salt to taste
- 2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1 inch ginger, finely chopped
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
Method
- Take finger millet flour in a pan, add 2 cups water and mix well.
- Cook the mixture on low heat for 4-5 minutes or till the mixture is thick. Transfer the cooked mixture onto a plate, spread it and allow to cool.
- Pour 3 cups water in an earthen pot.
- Dip your fingers in a bowl of water and divide the ragi mixture into equal portions. Roll into balls and add to the earthen pot. Cover and set aside to ferment overnight or for 8-10 hours.
- Discard the scum from the fermented mixture and churn it thoroughly.
- Add yogurt, salt, green chillies, ginger, onion and coriander leaves and mix well.
- Pour into individual serving glasses and serve.
