Method

  1. Take leftover dal in a bowl, add green peas, carrots, semolina, green chillies, salt, coriander leaves, yogurt and 1 cup water and mix well. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Add baking soda and mix well.
  3. Heat a paniyaram pan and drizzle ghee in each dent. Put a spoonful of batter in each dent, cover and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Flip and cook for 5-6 minutes more.
  5. Remove the appe onto a serving platter and serve hot with coconut chutney.
