Ingredients
- 1½ cups cleaned, shelled and chopped prawns (kolambi)
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- 2 teaspoons agri koli masala
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ¼ cup rice flour
- ½ cup gram flour (besan)
- Oil for deep frying
- Green chutney for serving
Method
- Take prawns in a bowl, add green chillies, turmeric powder, crushed black peppercorns, red chilli powder, garlic, agri koli masala, coriander leaves, onion, salt and lemon juice and mix well. Set aside for 5-10 minutes.
- Add rice flour and gram flour and mix well. Add 2-3 tablespoons water and mix well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Drop small portions of the prepared mixture and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Transfer onto a serving bowl and serve hot with green chutney.
