Ingredients
- ½ cup finely chopped green garlic stalks
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped green garlic bulbs
- ½ cup finely chopped spring onion greens
- ¼ cup finely chopped spring onion bulbs
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
- ¼ teaspoon carom seeds
- ¼ cup rice flour
- 1 cup gram flour
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
- Green chutney to serve
- Tomato ketchup to serve
Method
- Take spring onion greens in a mixing bowl, add spring onion bulbs, green garlic stalks, green garlic bulbs, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, carom seeds, rice flour, gram flour and salt and mix well. Add ¾ cup water and mix well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Gently slide small portions of the green garlic mixture into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Transfer the pakodas onto a serving plate and serve hot with green chutney and tomato ketchup.
