Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180° C.
  2. Take butter in a bowl, add brown sugar and castor sugar, mix and beat well till the mixture is light and fluffy. Add vanilla essence and mix well. 
  3. Sift refined flour, baking powder and baking soda directly into the bowl and mix well.
  4. Add milk and mix till the mixture is formed into soft dough.
  5. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll them into balls. Make a dent in the centre of half the balls, put some caramel sauce in it, cover with one of the remaining balls, press the edges to seal.
  6. Arrange the cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Bring the tray out of the oven and allow the cookies to cool, transfer them into a serving bowl and serve.
