Ingredients list for Apple And Sausage Fritters
- 1 medium Apple
- 4 Pork sauages
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Maple syrup
- 4 tablespoons Refined flour (maida)
- 1/4 cup Cornflour/ corn starch
- 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese , grated
- 1 cup Bread crumbs
- for deep-frying Oil
- 3 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Mustard sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon Fresh parsley finely chopped
Method
- Peel, deseed and finely chop apple and place in a bowl.
- Roughly chop sausages and add in the bowl. Add salt, baking soda, cinnamon powder, maple syrup, refined flour, cornflour, cheddar cheese, little water and mix well.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions shaped into medium size balls or fritters. Refrigerate the balls for 15 minutes.
- Spread breadcrumbs on a plate. Coat the balls in the breadcrumbs and dust off the excess.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry the balls till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- To make mayo-mustard dip, combine mayonnaise and mustard sauce in a bowl. Mix well.
- Garnish fritters with parsley and serve hot with mayo-mustard dip.
