Ingredients
- ¼ cup gram flour (besan)
- 3 medium green capsicums (shimla mirch), seeded and cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2-3 green chillies, slit
- 10-12 curry leaves
- 1½ teaspoons coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons roasted peanut powder
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
Method
- Dry roast gram flour in a pan till golden brown and transfer onto a plate.
- Heat oil in the same pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add cumin seeds and green chillies and sauté for a few seconds.
- Add capsicums and sauté on high heat for a few seconds. Add curry leaves and continue to sauté for 1 minute.
- Reduce heat to medium, add coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt, mix well and saute for 1-2 minutes.
- Add roasted peanut powder and mix well and continue to saute for 1-2 minutes.
- Add roasted gram flour and mix well. Add ½ cup water, mix, and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add coriander leaves and mix.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
