By Sanjeev Kapoor 23 Oct 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Dried white peas, Oil Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 7-8 hour Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Ussal-SK Khazana 1 cup Dried white peas soaked overnight and pressure cookerd 2 tablespoons Oil 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 12-16 Curry leaves 1-2 Green chillies finely chopped 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped 1 1/2 teaspoons Ginger chopped 2 Medium onions finely chopped 1 Medium tomato finely chopped to taste Salt 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 1/2 teaspoons Goda masala 1/2 cup Fresh coconut scraped 1 teaspoon Jaggery grated 1 tablespoon + for garnish Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped Method Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chillies, garlic and ginger, mix and sauté till fragrant. Add onions and tomatoes, mix and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add salt, turmeric powder and goda masala, mix well and cook till the oil separates. Add white peas and mix well. Add ¾ cup water and mix well. Add coconut, mix and bring to a boil. Add jaggery and coriander leaves, mix well and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
