Ingredients
- 1 cup soya granules
- 1/2 cup green peas, blanched
- 1 1/2 tablespoons ghee
- 7-8 black peppercorns
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 8 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 3/4 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 bunch chopped fresh coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Fresh coriander sprig to garnish
Method
- Take soya granules in a bowl, add sufficient water and soak for 10-15 minutes.
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add peppercorns, bay leaf, green chillies, garlic and ginger, mix and sauté till fragrant.
- Add onions, mix and sauté till it turns golden brown. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder and salt, mix and sauté for 1-2 minutes on medium heat.
- Squeeze soaked soya granules and add to the pan, mix and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add green peas and mix well and cook for 2 minutes. Add coriander leaves and lemon juice, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer onto a serving platter, garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
