Ingredients list for Sausage Pakora

  • 4 Chicken sausages
  • 2 cups Gram flour (besan)
  • to deep fry Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • a pinch Asafoetida
  • a pinch Baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons Rice flour
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • to sprinkle Chaat masala 1 teaspoon +
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  2. Put gram flour, red chilli powder, asafoetida, baking soda, rice flour, coriander leaves, coriander powder, chaat masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt in a bowl. Mix well.
  3. Add sufficient water and mix well to make a smooth and thick batter. Set aside for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Cut each sausage into three pieces, dip them in the batter and deep-fry in hot oil till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.
  5. Sprinkle chaat masala on top and serve hot.
