Ingredients
- ½ cup paneer, cut into cubes
- 3 medium potatoes, peeled, boiled and mashed
- 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
- 2 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 small tomato, chopped
- 1-2 green chillies, chopped
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- ¾ teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 2 teaspoons oil + for shallow frying
- Bread crumbs for coating
- Corn starch slurry as required
- 4 bread slices
Method
- In a bowl, add the potatoes, red chilli flakes, 1 tablespoon coriander, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Mix well and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add green chillies, and cook for 30 seconds. Add onion, tomato and mix well. Add salt and sauté. Cook till the tomatoes are pulpy.
- Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, and chaat masala. Cook for a minute.
- Add little water and cook for a minute. Add paneer, salt and remaining coriander. Mix well and set aside.
- Place a portion of the paneer stuffing on one slice of bread and place bread on top. Cut the sandwiches in half.
- Dip the sandwich halves in the corn starch slurry one at a time and gently squeeze the excess liquid and keep aside. Coat with bread crumbs.
- Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick pan, place the prepared sandwich and shallow fry till golden and crispy. Drain on an absorbent paper.
- Serve hot along with ketchup.
