Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons chopped garlic (lehsun)
- 2 cups shredded spinach (palak)
- 1 cup shredded fresh fenugreek leaves (methi)
- 1 cup gram flour
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 teaspoon carom seeds
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon dried mango powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep-frying
Method
- Take spinach in a bowl. Add fenugreek leaves, onion, carom seeds, gram flour, turmeric powder, chilli powder, baking soda and dried mango powder and mix well.
- Add salt and mix. Add little water and mix again.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Drop in portions of the prepared mixture and deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot.
