Ingredients list for Fried Cauliflower
- 1 medium Cauliflower separated into florets
- ¾ cup Gram flour (besan)
- for deep-frying Oil
- 2 tablespoons Rice flour
- ½ teaspoon Cumin powder roated
- 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon Cumin seeds roasted
- 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped, browned
- to taste Salt
- to sprinkle Chaat masala
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a pan.
- Take gram flour in a bowl. Add some water and whisk. Add rice flour and whisk well to make a semi-thick or batter with coating consistency. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, browned garlic and salt and whisk well.
- Coat each cauliflower floret with this batter and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Sprinkle some chaat masala on top and serve immediately.
