Ingredients list for Chicken Khurchan
- 500 grams Boneless chicken cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons Ghee
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 2 tablespoons Garlic chopped
- 1 tablespoon Ginger chopped
- 3 tablespoons Butter
- 2 Medium onions finely chopped
- 2 Medium tomatoes chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Green chillies finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 2 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Garam masla powder
- to taste Salt
- 3 teaspoons Lemon juice
- 1 Medium green capsicum cut into strips
- 1 Large onion cut into thick slices
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Dried fenugreek leaves powder
- 2 tablespoons Fresh cream
- to garnish Fresh coriander sprigs
Method
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add chicken strips and saute for 5 minutes. Drain and keep the chicken on a plate.
- Heat oil in the same pan, add garlic and ginger, mixand sauté for a minute. Add 2 tablespoons butter and onions, mix and sauté till the onions turn translucent.
- Add tomatoes, mix and saute till it turns soft and pulpy. Add green chillies, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala powder, mix and cook till the oil separates.
- Add remaining butter and mix well. Add salt, 2 teaspoons lemon juice, green capsicum and sliced onion and mix well.
- Add chicken strips, mix and cook till the vegetables are cooked. Add dried fenugreek leaves powder and mix well.
- Add remaining lemon juice and salt, mix and let it get heated through. Add cream and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander sprigs and serve hot.
