Ingredients
- 8-10 baby corns
- 1 cup grated cottage cheese (paneer)
- 2 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled and grated
- 1 small carrot, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped ginger
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- 2-3 green chillies, chopped
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli sauce + to serve
- 1½ teaspoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon refined flour (maida)
- 1 tablespoon + 1 cup cornflour
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
- Chaat masala to sprinkle
- 2 red cherry tomatoes for garnish
- Spring onion flower for garnish
Method
- Take paneer in a bowl, add potatoes, carrot, ginger, garlic, green chillies, onion, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, red chilli sauce and soy sauce and mix well.
- Add refined flour, 1 tablespoon cornflour and salt and mix well.
- Cover ¾ of each baby corn with the mixture to form drumsticks. Transfer in plate and add ½ cup cornflour and coat well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, slide in the baby corn drumsticks and deep fry on low heat till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Sprinkle chaat masala.
- Arrange them on a serving platter, sprinkle some more chaat masala, garnish with red cherry tomatoes and spring onion flower.
- Serve hot with red chilli sauce.
