Ingredients list for Tawa Mushrooms - SK Khazana

  • 8-10 Button mushrooms halOilved
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespo to garnish Butter
  • 1 Medium onion finely chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Carom seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 Medium tomato finely chopped
  • 2 Green chillies finely chopped
  • 1 Small green capsicum finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Pav bhaji masala
  • to garnish Lemon slices
  • 2 to serve Pavs
  • 1 Medium onion quartered

Method

  1. Heat oil on a non-stick tawa, add 1 tablespoon butter and let it melt. Add onions and sauté till translucent.
  2. Add salt and mix well. Add cumin seeds and carom seeds, mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and coriander powder and mix well. Add tomato, mix and sauté till the tomato becomes pulpy.
  4. Add green chillies, mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add green capsicum, mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon butter and mix till it melts. Add pav bhaji masala and mix well. Sprinkle some water and mash everything on the tawa with a masher and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add mushrooms, mix well and sauté till mushrooms are cooked.
  7. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with some butter and lemon slices and serve hot with pav and onions.
