Sprouted Methi Rice Sprouted methi dana and rice cooked together to make a unique pulao By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 Aug 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Rice, Fenugreek Seeds Cuisine Indian Course Rice Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Sprouted Methi Rice 1 cup Rice soaked 1 teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds 1 teaspoon Onion paste 2 teaspoons Ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon Green chilli paste 1/2 teaspoon Sugar 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder to taste Salt 1/2 cup Yogurt 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon Cumin powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder 2 teaspoons Desiccated coconut 2 teaspoons Lemon juice 2 tablespoons coriander leaves chopped Method Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add onion paste and saute for half minute. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for half minute. Add fenugreek seeds. Mix well. Add turmeric, green chilli paste and sauté. Add rice, sugar, salt and yogurt. Add garam masala powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and mix well. Add two and half cups of water. Cover and cook till three fourth done. Add desiccated coconut. Mix and cook till rice is completely cooked.
