Ingredients list for Sprouted Methi Rice
- 1 cup Rice soaked
- 1 teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Onion paste
- 2 teaspoons Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon Green chilli paste
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 cup Yogurt
- 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 2 teaspoons Desiccated coconut
- 2 teaspoons Lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons coriander leaves chopped
Method
- Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add onion paste and saute for half minute.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for half minute. Add fenugreek seeds. Mix well.
- Add turmeric, green chilli paste and sauté. Add rice, sugar, salt and yogurt. Add garam masala powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and mix well.
- Add two and half cups of water. Cover and cook till three fourth done. Add desiccated coconut. Mix and cook till rice is completely cooked.
- Add lemon juice and mix well.Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
