This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 21 Jan 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Potatoes, Roasted peanuts Cuisine Tamil Nadu Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Spicy Peanut Potatoes 7-8 medium Potatoes boiled and peeled 4 tablespoons Roasted peanuts coarsely crushed 2 tablespoons Oil 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon Coriander seeds 5-6 Cloves 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns 2 teaspoons Sesame seeds (til) 3 Dried red chillies chopped 1 teaspoon Split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal) 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida 8-9 Curry leaves to taste Salt Method Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Dry roast cumin seeds, coriander seeds, cloves, peppercorns and 1 tsp sesame seeds in another non-stick pan. Add red chillies and roast till fragrant. Add black gram to the oil and sauté for a minute. Cut potatoes into cubes. Cool the roasted ingredients and grind into a coarse powder. Add asafoetida, curry leaves, potato cubes and salt to the 1st pan. Toss and cook on high heat till the potatoes turn light brown. Add 3 tbsps ground powder, peanuts and remaining sesame seeds. Mid well and cook for 3-4 minutes. You can store the remaining ground powder in an airtight container. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
