Ingredients list for Saloni

  • 2 medium Potatoes peeled and cut into thin strips (salli) and soaked
  • 2 cups Green Peas boiled
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped
  • 2-3 Green chillies finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried mango powder (amchur)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
  • Juice of ½ lemon

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add ginger and green chillies and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Drain potatoes, add to the pan and mix. Add turmeric powder, dried mango powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder and salt and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add green peas and coriander leaves and mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Add lemon juice and mix well. Cook further for 1-1½ minutes.
  4. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
