Ingredients list for Grilled Sesame Delight
- 4 Brown bread slices
- 6 tablespoons Sesame seeds (til)
- 2 teaspoons Butter
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 2 Green chillies chopped
- 3 medium Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
- 1/4 cup Green peas boiled and crushed
- 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Chaat masala
- 1/4 teaspoon Sugar
- to taste Salt
Method
- Preheat an oven to 180°C.Dry roast sesame seeds in a non-stick pan till fragrant.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- Trim the edges of the bread slices, apply butter on both the sides and grill them in the preheated oven till golden.
- Heat oil in another non-stick pan, add cumin seeds.
- When they begin to change colour, add green chillies, potatoes, green peas, lemon juice, coriander leaves, chaat masala, sugar and salt.
- Mix well and set aside.
- Divide the potato mixture into four equal portions.
- Spread them on the toasted bread. Sprinkle the roasted sesame seeds on top.
- Grill the bread slices in the oven for another two to three minutes. Remove, cut into pieces and serve with tomato ketchup.
