Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Cook time : 31-40 minutes

Ingredients for Chicken Roll Recipe

  • Chicken Breasts 2

  • Hot Dog Buns 4

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Cabbage shredded 1/4 small

  • Vinegar 1/4 cup

  • Sugar 1 tablespoon

  • Onion finely sliced 1 medium

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Salt to taste

  • Bhuna masala 65 grams

  • Green capsicum cut into thin long strips 1/2

  • Bean sprouts 1/2 cup

  • Butter 1 tablespoon

  • Spinach leaves (palak) 8

  • Cheese grated as required

Method

Step 1

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and sauté till fragrant. Add cabbage, vinegar, sugar, onion and sauté till the onion become light golden. Transfer into a bowl.

Step 2

Cut chicken breasts into thin long diagonal strips, add to the same pan and sauté in1 tbsp oil for 3-4 minutes. Add red chilli powder, garam masala powder, lemon juice and salt and mix well.

Step 3

Add bhuna masala and mix well. Add green capsicum and toss. Transfer into a bowl, add bean sprouts, mix well and set aside.

Step 4

Cut a thin slice from top of all the rolls and create a pocket. Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Place the rolls in the pan and toast them lightly.

Step 5

Place 2 spinach leaves in the pocket of each roll and spread cabbage over them. Spread chicken mixture over cabbage.

Step 6

Top with grated cheese and cover with the thin slice. Serve immediately.
