Ingredients
- 1½ cups water chestnut flour (singhade ka atta)
- ¾ cup ghee
- ¼ cup almond flour
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
- 1 cup milk
- 1½ cups sugar
- ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
- Slivered almonds to sprinkle
Method
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add water chestnut flour and sauté, stirring continuously, on medium heat till it turns golden brown in colour.
- Add almond flour and desiccated coconut, mix well and continue to saute for 2-3 minutes
- Add milk and mix well. Add sugar, mix and cook till it dissolves and the mixture becomes thick.
- Add green cardamom powder and mix well.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased burfi tray and spread evenly. Sprinkle almonds on top and keep aside to set for 3-4 hours.
- Cut into squares, arrange them on a serving platter and serve.
