Ingredients
- 1½ cups yogurt (dahi)
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 inch ginger, chopped
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 dried red chillies
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2-3 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- Fresh coriander sprig for garnish
Method
- Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds and once they start to splutter, add cumin seeds, ginger and green chillies, mix and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add onion, mix and sauté till golden brown.
- Add dried red chillies, salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix well. Add yogurt, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add coriander leaves and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
