Ingredients
- 1 large bunch of sarson leaves
- 1½ boiled chickpeas (chole)
- 3-4 tablespoons ghee
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 green chillies, chopped
- 20-25 spinach leaves
- Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
- White butter cubes for garnish
Method
- Heat ghee in a non-stick deep pan, add ginger and garlic, mix and sauté for 1 minute. Add onion, mix well and saute till translucent.
- Add green chillies and mix well. Add sarson leaves, mix and cook till the leaves wilt.
- Add spinach leaves, mix and cook for 1 minute. Cover and cook for 5-6 minutes.
- Switch the heat off and blend the mixture till smooth with an electric hand blender.
- Switch the heat on, add boiled chickpeas, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add garam masala powder and adjust salt and mix well. Cook for 1 minute.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with white butter cubes and serve hot.
