Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons ripe mango pulp
- 2-3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 cups refined flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 cup sugar
- ¾ cup oil
- 1½ cups milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
- Melted mango jam as required
Method
- Preheat oven to 180° C.
- Take refined flour in a bowl, add baking powder, baking soda, salt, yogurt, sugar and oil and whisk till smooth. Add milk and mix till a smooth batter is formed.
- Divide the batter into 2 equal portions and put them in two separate bowls.
- Add cocoa powder and vanilla essence to one portion and mix well. Add mango pulp to the other portion and mix well.
- Take a silicon loaf mould and pour the mango batter at the base. Pour chocolate batter on top and swirl with a toothpick to get a marble effect.
- Keep the loaf mould in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Bring the mould out of the oven and let it cool down to room temperature. De-mould and keep the loaf on a serving platter, drizzle melted mango jam over it, slice and serve.
