Litti Chokha Chutney

Method

  1. Brush some oil on each tomato and cook them on a steel wire rack over direct flame. Rotate them every now and then till they are well charred all around. Transfer into cold water, and peel the tomatoes.
  2. Peel the tomatoes and roughly chop them. Transfer them into a mortar, add green chillies, garlic, ginger, salt, mustard oil and coriander leaves and crush coarsely with a pestle. 
  3. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve with litti, chokha and litti chokha dal.
