Ingredients
- ¾ cup finely chopped ginger
- 2 cups sugar syrup
- 6 teaspoons lemon juice
- Ice cubes as required
- Drinking soda as required
- Lemon slices for garnish
Method
- Heat 2½ cups water in a deep pan, add ginger and mix well. Bring it to a boil and continue to cook for 10-15 minutes.
- Strain the mixture into a bowl and allow to cool completely.
- Add sugar syrup to the ginger mixture and mix till well combined.
- To serve, put a few ice cubes in each serving glass, pour a portion of the prepared ginger syrup, 1½ teaspoons lemon juice, 2 lemon slices and top it up with soda.
- Garnish with a lemon slice and serve immediately.
- Note- You can store the ginger syrup in an airtight jar and keep it in the refrigerator.
