Kanda Papad Chutney

Want to make a chutney that can be made in a jiffy, then this recipe is for you. Sauteed onions mixed with peanuts and roasted papads make a wonderful side dish that will surely uplift your regular meal.

Method

  1. Take garlic in a mortar, add green chillies and roasted peanuts and crush coarsely with a pestle.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and once they change colour, add onions, mix and sauté till light golden.
  3. Add the crushed mixture, mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add tomato and mix well. Add salt, mix well and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Crush papads and add to the pan, add coriander leaves and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve immediately.
