Ingredients
- 1½ cups refined flour (maida)
- ½ cup whole wheat flour (atta)
- 2 eggs
- 1½ tablespoons melted ghee
- ¼ cup sugar
- Salt to taste
- 4 tablespoons coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- Oil for deep frying
Method
- Sift refined flour and whole wheat flour in a bowl.
- Break eggs in another bowl and whisk well. Add ghee, sugar, salt, coconut milk and instant yeast and mix well.
- Add this mixture to the flour mixture. Add ¾ cup water and mix well. Cover with the lid and set aside to ferment for 4-6 hours.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Drop small portions of the batter and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Transfer them into a serving bowl and serve hot.
