Ingredients
- 4 cups puffed rice (murmura)
- 2 medium onions
- 1 medium raw mango
- ½ cup boiled sprouted black Bengal gram (kale chane)
- 1 cup boiled dried white peas
- ½ cup boiled raw peanuts
- 4 green chillies, chopped
- 2 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled and chopped
- 6-8 tablespoons date and tamarind chutney
- 3 tablespoons green chutney
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- Salt to taste
- 4-6 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- 1 lemon
- 4-6 tablespoons masala chana dal + to sprinkle
- 4-6 tablespoons chana jor garam
- 4-6 crisp papdis + to serve
- 4-6 crisp puris meant for pani puri
- 4-6 tablespoons nylon sev + to sprinkle
Method
- Chop onion and raw mango finely.
- Take puffed rice in a large steel bowl, add black Bengal gram, dried white peas, raw peanuts, green chillies, onions, raw mango, potatoes, date and tamarind chutney, green chutney, chaat masala, salt and coriander leaves and mix well.
- Squeeze the juice of the lemon into the bowl, add masala chana dal and chana jor garam. Crush papdis and puris and add to the bowl. Add nylon sev and mix well.
- Transfer onto serving plates, sprinkle masala chana dal and nylon sev and serve with crisp papdis.
