Ingredients
- 1 cup Pro V Select Whole Natural Almonds
- 2-3 tablespoons ghee
- ¾ cup semolina
- A generous pinch of saffron + to sprinkle
- ¾ cup hot milk
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
- Slivered Pro V Select Whole Natural Almonds to sprinkle
- Blanched, peeled and slivered pistachios to sprinkle
Method
- Take Pro V Select Whole Natural Almonds in a bowl, add hot water and set aside for 3-4 hours. Drain and peel almonds.
- Transfer the almonds into a grinder jar and grind coarsely.
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add almonds and sauté on medium heat for 1-2 minutes.
- Add semolina and saffron, mix and sauté for 5-6 minutes or till golden brown.
- Add 2 cups hot water and ¾ cup hot milk and mix well. Cover and cook on low heat for 4-5 minutes.
- Add sugar and green cardamom powder, mix and cook till sugar melts.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, sprinkle almonds, blanched pistachios and saffron strands on top. Serve.
